UAS Flight Test Engineer

Purpose of Position

As a Flight Test Engineer, you will be an integral member of our R&D team. You will be responsible for conducting test and validation flights of our 5th generation aircraft to ensure that all of our technology is safe, reliable, and ready for certification. This includes, but is not limited to aircraft pre-flights and take-offs, aircraft and ground system repair and maintenance, testing of system updates, (hardware and software) and the collection of various types of data. You will also provide feedback and key learnings to our engineering and operations team to ensure the safe operation of our wrld-class-technology.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Support and supervise the day-to-day test operations of the EuroDragons unmanned aircraft (UA) during development, production, and maintenance check flights
Conduct pre-flight checks as well as general and safety-related maintenance work
Maintain all necessary records to ensure safe flight operations
Prepare and maintain take-off and landing areas, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
Assemble aircraft and supporting products
Identify and troubleshoot quality issues if they arise
Participate in flight operations safety meetings and team meetings to ensure safe flight operations

Experience

EASA basic regulations knowledge
EASA UAS regulation expertise
Excellent CRM skills
Ability to manage aviation communications
Strong prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple and high-level priorities
Proactive decision-making skills
Uphold a standard of service in a strict and changing regulatory environment
Flexible approach to work to adapt to operational requirements

Graduated Langenlebarn or HTL Eisenstadt for flight technology
Preferred (PPL) private pilot license fixed or rotorcraft
